Win at the US National Chess Championships

Congratulations to our Monticello Mustang, Anaira, who competed in the 2024 US National Chess Champion this weekend and was placed 3rd in her section U1000. There was 106 players competed in her section, and she won a total of 4 out of 5 rounds in a 30 minutes time control, losing only to the 1st place winner. She was the only girl in the top 10 winners list. We are so proud of her as she represents Monticello ACHIEVE!
