Description

Design Thinking is a human-centric approach to design. Students will create solutions to problems by first understanding and empathizing with others, then designing a solution with those people in mind. Upon building their design, the students will then reflect and re-engage with their audience before further improving their ideas in an ultimately cyclical process of empathizing, designing, building, and reflecting. Students will make critical decisions for their creation, and learn to give and accept criticism and constructive feedback, before creating a real and tangible design to help the community. This is a group-centered class. Each student will be designing and creating in groups to attain a wide variety of perspectives and ideas.
