Sewing Fundamentals: Introduction to Fashion

Semester 2 only (spring)

Monday, Wednesday, and Friday

Sewing fundamental emphasizes the development of basic sewing skills used to create apparel. This course focuses on patterns, fabric making, reconstruction techniques, pressing & steaming skills, and fashion illustration. In this class you'll learn how to use a sewing machine and how to hand sew. Small projects will be discussed in class. At the end semester there will be a test and a fashion show.
