While having some prior performance experience may help, it is not a requirement.  The only prerequisite is being a person willing to take risks and say yes to new experiences and activities.

Description

In this theatre class, students will have the opportunity to perform, write, direct, and create collaborative scripts and stories. Skills in improvisation, memorization, and physical realization of a character will be developed in this class. Students should have a willingness to take risks and explore storytelling and communicating with others. Students may learn accents and make-up techniques and learn designing for the theatre.  Students will analyze other performances. Students will learn the language of theatre arts.  They will learn about a variety of professions in the theatre. The main objective will be to perform a live performance for an audience.
